One of the reasons I’ve become disheartened and disillusioned about the pleasure of cycling in London recently is due to lack of respect cyclists pay to one another. We’re all in the same boat so why make it any harder for your fellow cyclists than it already is?

In recent weeks I have been cut up, dangerously overtaken, nearly smacked in the mouth by an over-enthusiastic indicator who didn’t think looking might be a good idea and driven into more potholes than I care to remember and all by other cyclists.

This is a really extreme and saddening example that has been shared on the cycling grapevine this week but presents a very sad story of people just not caring about their fellow human beings.
