I’ve been a regular cyclist for years. Not possessing a driving licence and begrudging the cost and inefficiency of most public transportation I’ve relied on my bike to get me to work, events, lectures and interviews for more than a decade.
I am, however, new to cycling in London. I’ve lived here for a while now but used TfL until January 2014. So far it’s been pretty good. Only one attempt has been made on my life and the rain has mostly obliged.
- I like riding to and from jobs with 5 or 6 other cyclists lining up next to me at the lights.
- I don’t like breathing in the blackened fumes of a van’s exhaust.
